A Top Congresswoman Just Filed A Bill To Initiate Trump’s Removal From Office

A Congresswoman has introduced a resolution calling for President Trump to undergo a physical and mental evaluation to determine if he is fit to continue in office as president.

While the measure by Representative Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) probably has little chance of passage in a House controlled by Republicans, it shows that there is growing concern about Trump’s ability to carry out his role as the nation’s chief executive.

Lofgren is asking to invoke the 25th amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which under certain circumstances, reads the resolution, opens the way to “determine if the president suffers from a medical disorder or other injury that impairs his abilities and prevents him from discharging his Constitutional duties.”

Lofgren’s resolution calls on Vice President Pence and members of the Cabinet to “quickly secure the services of medical and psychiatric professionals” to see if the 25th Amendment should be invoked.

In a press release, Lofgren raised questions including, “Does the President suffer from early stage dementia? Has the stress of office aggravated a mental illness crippling impulse control?”

“Has emotional disorder so impaired the President that he is unable to discharge his duties?” continues the Congresswoman’s questions. “Is the President mentally and emotionally stable?”

Her resolution is added to a growing list of resolutions, legislation and even proposed Constitutional amendments concerning Trump’s behavior in the wake of his reaction and remarks to the deadly racist rioting in Charlottesville.

There are two articles of impeachment, a bill to censure Trump’s handling of the crisis in Charlottesville and even an effort to alter the 25th Amendment to allow former presidents to step in and evaluate whether the president is still fit for office — just in case the president fires the entire cabinet and anyone else who might force him out.

If the country is indeed suffering from The Madness of President Trump, then these bills are positioned to find real backing in the future.

In the meanwhile, they send a message to the White House that a lot of people believe all is not well, and President Trump needs to get well quickly — or get out.

Add your name to millions demanding that Congress take action on the President’s crimes. IMPEACH DONALD TRUMP!
