This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. The first democratically elected Prime Minister of Bhutan, Jigmi Y. Thinley is a multi-award winner, passionate speaker and thinker, who motivates, fascinates, and encourages the audience.

He eloquently describes the 9 domains of happiness of the Gross National Happiness Index. GNH was first created by the fourth King of Bhutan, HH Jigmi Singye Wangchuck. In this interview by Tia Kansara, director of Kansara Hackney Ltd, Jigmi explains what this concept is about and why our world desperately needs “Ethicpreneurs”.

Jigmi is an author of several academic publications and has held many important political positions, such as the Minister for Foreign Affairs and the permanent representative to the United Nations.
