Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon just said that the Trump presidency is coming to an end.
“The Trump presidency that we fought for, and won, is over,” he said to conservative outlet Weekly Standard. “We still have a huge movement, and we will make something of this Trump presidency. But that presidency is over…”
Bannon has already announced his return to his former position as the executive chair of Breitbart News, a feeling he describes as “I’ve got my hands back on my weapons.” He assured the Weekly Standard that leaving was his idea, a contradiction to Trump’s claim that it was his idea.
“I’d always planned on spending one year in the White House,” Bannon said.
He only made it eight months.
“Now, it’s gonna be Trump. I just think his ability to get anything done – particularly the bigger things, like the wall, the bigger, broader things that we fought for, it’s just gonna be that much harder,” Bannon said.
