“Dystopian scenarios flourish when technological growth isn’t met by the evolution of our humanity” – Jurgis Didžiulis

So how do we upgrade our collective consciousness to meet the exponential curve of technology? Jurgis believes the solution lies in creating spaces that upgrades the community culture settings in us.

This TEDx talk explains how co-created spaces where people “Play Utopia” and exercise collective fictions, not only satisfies a primal and greatly unfulfilled need for humane collectivization, but also rekindles our community-building capacities. A scalable quality that will allow us to engineer a better humanity together. Motivational Musician, Transformational Troubadour, Edutainer. Jurgis is hard to pin down with conventional labels. By seamlessly mixing his passion for music and social phenomenon, he forges participative experiences that inspire, enlighten and shift attitudes in ways that traditional methods cannot.

Over the past 5 years, Jurgis has done close to 500 sessions, interactive seminars, or other creative activities promoting the human skills, emotional intelligence, and culture of community needed to avoid dystopian scenarios created by the ever-growing rift between technological advances and human/social development.

His mixed cultural heritage (Colombia-Lithuanian), and a professional background, ranging from Eurovision to EU consultant, enables him to transcend formats effortlessly and connect with audiences in arenas packed with thousands of people, corporate boardrooms, royal receptions, and kindergartens alike. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at

  1. The most inspiring encouraging TED Talk I've experienced yet. I've been to the Rainbow Gathering years ago. I think we need to build small intentional communities where we can meet with neighbors and others, collaborate and create together be it local businesses, shared community food gardens, small local cooperative businesses, writing cooperatives, or other ways of raising the vibration of our communities.
